Why did you decide to become a high school math teacher? I didn’t think I wanted to teach high school, but I had graduated with a math degree and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next. I was approached with a job opportunity and decided to give it a shot. Turns out I love teaching!

If you had to sum up your philosophy on teaching and learning math in a few sentences, what would you say? Hard work goes a long way!

What is something interesting that people may not know about you? My husband’s family owns and runs the movie theater in Stowe. I can often be found selling tickets on the weekends.

What were you like in high school? I was a pretty quiet student and spent most of my time participating in competitive cheerleading.

What interests do you pursue outside of your professional life? I am new to Vermont so I still love exploring the outdoors. I am slowly learning how to ski and survive winter. I am also expecting my first child this year, which I anticipate will take up a good amount of my free time 🙂
