Why did you decide to become a high school math teacher? I am passionate about student learning and mathematical reasoning.

If you had to sum up your philosophy on teaching and learning math in a few sentences, what would you say? All students have the ability to learn. As educators we need to believe in them and provide them with the level of instruction that is necessary to facilitate the learning needed to achieve their goals.

What is something interesting that people may not know about you? I’ve been to Guatemala.

What were you like in high school? I was quiet in high school and not very confident in myself.

What interests do you pursue outside of your professional life? Working out, cooking, and watching sporting events.
